Membership:
In this section you will find all the information needed to join the Society for Economic Anthropology. There are two categories of membership in the SEA described below.
Types of membership:
Basic Membership ($35 Professional/$10 Students)
Basic Professional Membership is $35 per year. Basic Student Membership is $10 per year. Basic Membership entitles you to present a paper at the annual meeting (if accepted by the program chair), to purchase volumes in the SEA monograph series at substantial discounts, and to submit student papers to the Schneider Prize competition. Basic Members also receive the SEA Newsletter which comes out twice a year.
Standard Membership ($50 Professional/$30 Students)
Standard Professional Membership is $50 per year. Standard Student Membership is $30 per year. Standard Membership includes all the same benefits as the Basic Membership PLUS Standard Members receive a copy of the latest SEA volume.
Student Discounts
In addition to the regular student discounts, all graduate and undergraduate students who submit a paper to the annual SEA Harold K. Schneider Student Paper Prize Competition will receive a FREE Basic Membership in the SEA for one year.
How to join:
Current Members: You are not a paid-up member unless the current year appears in the upper right hand corner of your newsletter mailing label. To update your membership, mail this form along with your payment to the address below.
New Members: To join SEA, mail this form along with your payment to the address below.

SEA Listserve:
The Society for Economic Anthropology has a new listserv, SEA-L. This is not a high volume list, rather, the SEA envisions the listserv as a place to connect, announce conferences, post important information and ask questions. We are opening the list to all interested individuals and we hope that if you subscribe to the listserv, you might also join us as a member of the SEA.
This is a moderated list. To subscribe to SEA-L, send an email to the list-serv manager, Walter Little (wlittle@albany.edu).
To send a message to all the people currently subscribed to the list, send mail to
SEA-L@LISTSERV.ALBANY.EDU. This is called "sending mail to the list," because you send mail to a single address and LISTSERV makes copies for all the people who have subscribed.
